Terms and conditions

Draft for business review. Trader details, VAT treatment, order acceptance and operational terms must be confirmed before publication.

About Konnect Electricals

These terms are intended for purchases from konnectelectricals.co.uk.

[Required: full legal trader name, geographical business address, direct email and telephone. If a company, add registered number, place of registration and registered office. Add a VAT number if registered.]

Consumer and trade purchases

A consumer is an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Your status depends on the purpose of the purchase. Using a trade account does not, by itself, remove consumer rights. Separate business terms must be provided and agreed before a trade purchase.

Product information

Check the product specification and suitability before ordering. Ask us if you need a particular size, finish, fitting or compatibility confirmed. Product information forms part of the description of the goods and these terms do not remove your right to receive goods as described.

Electrical work must follow the applicable safety requirements and manufacturer’s instructions. Use a qualified installer where required.

Prices and payment

Prices are stated in pounds sterling. Before a consumer places an order, the total price must include applicable taxes and all mandatory charges. Additional optional charges require express agreement.

[Required: confirm VAT registration and configure the catalogue and checkout consistently. Current product prices were supplied excluding VAT, while WooCommerce tax calculation was disabled when checked. Do not publish a claim that prices include VAT until verified.]

[Required: confirm payment methods, payment timing and the handling of declined or pending payments. The card gateway shown as active is Credit Cards (Stripe) by Payment Plugins; account readiness has not been verified.]

Placing and accepting an order

Review your basket, delivery address and total before placing an order. You should have an opportunity to correct errors. Keep the order emails and these terms for your records.

[Required: choose and implement the point at which an order is accepted and a contract is formed. Ensure the order acknowledgement, acceptance email, payment process and these terms use the same rule.]

If a product is unavailable or there is a pricing error, we will contact you to resolve it. These terms do not allow us to change an agreed contract unilaterally or retain money for goods we will not supply.

Delivery

Standard UK delivery is free. See our delivery policy. For consumer orders, delivery is due without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract unless another period is agreed. Consumer risk normally passes when you or your nominated recipient takes physical possession.

Cancellation, returns and faulty goods

See our refund and returns policy for the cancellation period, return procedure, refunds and optional cancellation notice. Consumer goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Statutory remedies and any additional guarantee rights remain available.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care where the law makes us liable. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Personal information

Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. Our cookie policy explains cookies and similar technologies. Accepting purchase terms is not consent to optional marketing or tracking.

Complaints and disputes

Use our contact page to raise a complaint and include your order number where possible.

[Required: direct complaints contact and any applicable alternative dispute resolution arrangements. Do not add an obsolete EU Online Dispute Resolution platform link.]

No provision in these terms removes a consumer’s protection under mandatory law or any right to bring proceedings in a court available under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

The terms supplied when your contract is made apply to that purchase. Later revisions will not retrospectively reduce your rights under an existing contract.
